Geetha Sendhil was born in India, and immigrated to the United States at a young age. She was raised in Queens, New York, and has lived in Southern Nevada for 13 years. Geetha has over 14 years professional experience in the information technology field including project management, systems analysis & design, database design, programming, web site development, and technical support. Having been employed with UNLV since September 1998, Geetha currently serves as Executive Director of Student Affairs Technology. She has previously worked with UNLV's Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach, Harry Reid Center, and Office of Information Technology. Geetha is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership at UNLV and anticipates completion in 2010. She became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2005, and possesses a master's degree in Public Administration from UNLV. In addition, Geetha earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a major in Management Information Systems from Pace University - New York City campus. On a personal note, Geetha is married and lives in Henderson, Nevada with her husband and two children, a son age 12 and daughter age 7.
