I have worked in the nursing field since I was sixteen years old. While in High School I was enrolled in a vocational program where I became a nurse’s aid and then a Licensed Practical Nurse. While working on my Bachelor’s degree in nursing, I worked as a nurse apprentice in a hospital. After working as a Registered Nurse for two years (staff nurse and traveling nurse) I pursued graduate studies in nursing. During that time I worked as a Home Health Nurse. After graduate school I worked as a Nurse Practitioner in an underserved community health clinic. It was at The Pennsylvania State University that I found my occupational career path- college health! I have been a college health clinician ever since, nine years and counting!
