Immunization Requirements
Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapter 441A.755 requires that all students, regardless of age, must provide documentation of having received certain vaccinations.

Immunizations are typically available through your private physician or the Public Health Department. To assist students in registering for classes, the Student Health Center offers immunization clinics during certain times of the year. Check back for dates and times of the next scheduled clinic. In the meantime, learn more about the immunization requirements.

Meningitis Vaccination
The SHC is currently offering meningitis vaccine to students for $15.00. Meningococcal Meningitis is a potentially fatal bacterial infection that causes inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. It is spread through the air by respiratory secretions and by direct contact with infected individuals. College students seem to be more susceptible because they live and work in close proximity to each other. The American College Health Association supports the recommendation issued by the Advisory Committee or Immunization Practices (ACIP) that all incoming freshmen living in residence halls receive the meningococcal meningitis vaccine. Please call or come into the SHE for more information or to receive the vaccination.
