    The UNLV Outdoor Adventure and Outdoor Equipment Rental Shop programs are operated under the direction of UNLV CAMPUS RECREATIONAL SERVICES. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for participation in a wide variety of outdoor activities and offer low cost outdoor rental equipment for the students, faculty and staff of the university and for all members of the community.
    UNLV Outdoor Adventures organizes camping, hiking, canoe and kayak treks, horseback adventures, National Park excursions and many other adventures. The cost for each adventure is determined with a break-even attitude, such that a college student can experience adventure and education outside the traditional classroom. The UNLV Adventure program is open to all persons on a first-come, first-served basis.
    The UNLV Outdoor Equipment Rental Shop offers equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, stoves, coolers, canoes, recreational equipment (volleyball sets, Frisbees, softball gear) and maps with information necessary to plan your own excursion. The affordable rates are discounted for the university student, but are available for rent to any individual who needs an item we stock.

OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT RENTAL SHOP POLICIES/PROCEDURES

RESERVATIONS - Items may be reserved in advance by paying the full rental fee.
DEPOSITS - The deposit on rental equipment is mandatory. The deposit fee will be 50% of the replacement cost. A check with picture identification or Mastercard/Visa belonging to the individual checking out the equipment must be presented at the time of check-out. UNLV Campus Recreational Services and Outdoor Equipment Rental Shop reserves the right to refuse services to anyone.
RETURNS, REPAIRS, CLEANING - All items must be clean when returned. All fees for repairs, cleaning or late return of rental equipment must be paid in full when the equipment is returned. This is the sole financial responsibility of the person checking out the equipment.
GENERAL INFORMATION - Return of rental equipment items generally require 15-30 minutes to be checked for cleanliness and damages - please be prepared for this procedure.
Repair, replacement and cleaning fees will be charged to patrons according to the repair cost, retail replacement cost and/or cleaning fees as determined by Outdoor Equipment Rental Shop personnel.
