If You've Been Assaulted Your Safety and Health Come First!

• Go to a safe place.
• Get medical attention. You may be injured more seriously than you realize. Medical evidence will be needed if you decide to press charges.
• Report the assault to law enforcement. Reporting may allow you to qualify for financial compensation for medical expenses. Reporting is not the same as pressing charges.
• Don’t blame yourself - you are the victim of a crime.
• Don't deal with it alone - there are many resources available to you.
