Osher Re-Entry Scholarships

At its core, the Jean Nidetch Women’s Center focuses on educating, supporting, motivating, and empowering lives. One of the ways we fulfill this mission is through our scholarship assistance for re-entry students.

To this end, the Jean Nidetch Women's Center is pleased to announce a $1 million endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation for re-entry student scholarships.

To qualify for a scholarship students must:

• Be formally admitted to UNLV.
• Enroll in 12 undergraduate credits during the semester of the award.
• Have a 2.75 GPA.
• Anticipate significant participation in the workforce upon graduation.
• Have experienced a 5 year or more interruption in educational studies
• Be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.
• Speak to personal and financial need in their personal statement.

Applications for the 2008-2009 school year will be available in January 2008 and are due by April 11, 2008.
