Disability Services

Adaptive Computer Lab

The Adaptive Computer Lab inside Disability Services offers equipment and programs that accommodate various disabilities; including learning, visual, hard of hearing, and others. To see how the lab can help you with your studies or homework assignments, make an appointment for a tour. We also offer hands-on demonstrations for other members of campus community, including faculty and staff. Our programs include:

  • Madenta Tracker - hands-free mouse!
  • Kurzweil Voice
  • Kurzweil Voice XPress Professional
  • Kurzweil 3000
  • Open Book Ruby - reads scanned print material.
  • Zoomtext - enlarges sections of the screen up to 4x larger!
  • Window Eyes
  • Co-Writer - on screen keyboard.
  • Wireless Keyboard
  • Large Size Trackball
  • Microsoft Windows 95
  • Microsoft Office 97 - includes Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Netscape Navigator 4.51

Any student who has registered with Disability Services can access the computer lab for school work during normal business hours.
