about the Group Program ~
~ Groups Programs ~
Group therapy provides you with the opportunity to address your
current concerns, to identify with others experiencing similar
concerns, to increase your self-awareness by identifying life
themes interfering with your growth, to become more sensitive
to the needs of others, and to learn to respect individual differences
as you learn to affirm your own uniqueness.
Group therapy can be an effective way of addressing various
concerns. In fact, for some concerns, group therapy can be a
more effective method of addressing issues than individual therapy.
Group can also be a helpful next step to people who are transitioning
out of individual therapy and would like some continued support.
Groups generally consist of 5-8 group members, plus one or two
professional group leaders. Groups can be single- or mixed-gender.
They can be centered around a specific issue or concern, or can
be open to people with a variety of concerns.
